PAROS
Island in the Aegean Sea, Greece

One of the most beautiful Island I've ever seen, with incredible landscapes, crystal clear waters and classical Greek architecture.

Photographs taken in August 2020.

Churches in the middle of the sea, between Paros and Antiparos
LEFKES - the first capital of Paros. Small and beautiful village between the mountains.
LEFKES
In 1938, there was an outbreak of cholera in Greece. Dictator Metaxas, passed a law for all houses in the Cyclades to be whitewashed in an effort to stop its spread. The material used for whitewashing was limestone, which was considered a powerful disinfectant.
Whitewashed and flowered little houses, Naoussa is considered to be one of the prettiest villages in the Cyclades.
